The City of Dallas is one of the few municipalities that have adopted a Green Building Program(GBP). It requires all new construction and first time finish outs to comply with green requirements. Although Phase I of the Dallas GBP industry went into effect in 2009, many in the construction are still unclear about the requirements.
The program was initially enforced by the City staff, but since 2011 it has been administered using Certified Third Party Providers. Phase II, with much more involved requirements went into effect in 2013.
Master Code. Inc. has been a Certified Third Party provider from the very beginning of the privatization and has provided this service for project including high-rise buildings, large multi-family and mixed use projects, high-rise condominiums, hospitals, large industrial buildings and office towers.
Our goal is make these complex regulations as easy to navigate, as possible. We understand that "Time is Money", and we provide a time sensitive service that is responsive to client’s needs. The City of Dallas offers various paths of compliance including the Ch 61 checklist based upon the IGCC, a LEED checklist, the National Green Building Standard and ICC 700.
We also stay in constant touch with the city managements to find out about any new and upcoming changes, new interpretations etc. In addition to the Green Building Ordinance, we provide services for the Energy Conservation Codes, Building and Fire Codes, Liaison with the city plan reviewers and inspectors, and permitting, needs.
